Kester 278 Flux-Cored Wire with Innolot Alloy is a halogen-free wire optimized for high performance applications, such as under-the-hood automotive. 278, with its fast wetting and low spattering, performs admirably when benchmarked against conventional halogen/halide-based systems, enabling its use in drag soldering and minimizing cycle time in robotic and manual soldering. The use of 278 results in a clear post-soldering residue without the need for cleaning. 278 is classified as Type ROL0 flux under J-STD-004B specifications. 278 is halogen-free and halide-free, conforming to the strictest requirements of IEC 61249-2-21, JPCA-ES-01 and IPC-410B specifications..
Kester TSF-6522RH is a rosin based, no-clean tacky soldering flux formula designed to be compliant with IEC 61249-2-21 definition for halide-free materials. TSF-6522RH is a formula being marketed for customers familiar with Kester's TSF-6522 formula, but now must comply with new halide-free legislation. TSF-6522RH can be used with a doctor blade or a drum fluxer. TSF-6522RH can also be used in dot dispensing for BGA/PGA sites or in a rework application for surface mount packages. Kester 331 Organic Flux is a water-soluble formula for use in flux-cored solder wire. This cored solder version of the popular 2331-ZX Neutral Organic Water Soluble Liquid Flux is more effective than rosin fluxes in soldering difficult metals. The same fast action and mild properties are exhibited with 331 Organic Flux as with the liquid 2331-ZX. The flux is more heat stable than most organic fluxes, resulting in minimal smoke and odor. The residue can be completely removed with a simple heated water rinse. Deionized water is suggested to prevent introduction of chemistries from unknown water sources. 331 is classified as ORH1 per J-STD-004. .
Kester’s NP575-KAP is a next generation, high performance, zero-halogen, lead-free, no-clean solder paste. It has been specifically developed to be a high first-pass-yield, broad latitude, high reliability, material suited for multiple applications including automotive and aerospace. This material “prints like a brick” providing a wide print window capable down to area ratios >0.60, repeatable transfer efficiencies on fine feature apertures down to 01005 components, with excellent coalescence down to 170 µm circle and square apertures. Along with the ability to achieve CpK values >2.0 with transfer efficiencies between 60% - 120% at area ratios. Additionally, this material provides outstanding electro-chemical performance, even under very harsh environmental conditions along with being pin-testable and is IPC J-STD-004B as ROL0. NP575-KAP is Kester’s leading no-clean paste and part of our high-performance portfolio of products.
